Kinkell Byre is stunningly located on the east coast just outside of St Andrews. We are a blank canvas barn venue meaning you can create your own unique wedding! Let's take a closer look into why Kinkell would be the perfect wedding venue for your big day.

Amazing backdrops

As we are situated on the east coast of St Andrews, we have some spectacular sea views looking right across the water to Dundee and even Arbroath! Our outside space is perfect for photos, drinks reception and even a ceremony if the weather is on our side!

Even if the weather is not in your favor on the day of your wedding, we have so much space in doors and have our authentic sandstone walls to act as a rustic backdrop.

Elegant Spaces

Kinkell Byre offers charming rooms for different parts of your wedding. Up to 200 guests can enjoy your ceremony and up to 450 for reception! Our venue offers a variety of elegant spaces to choose from. We provide the exclusive use of a converted barn, ensuring your wedding vision is brought to life just as you’ve imagined.

The day will begin as your guests arrive into our entrance room (Iains Shed) then down into our Long Shed for some pre ceremony drinks from the bar! Your guests will then be called into the atmospheric ceremony room where you will tie the knot! Followed by the big reveal of the Dining Area where your speeches, dinner & party will happen! This will all happen with a nice relaxed flow from each room and no movement of any furniture.

We also have 10 charming self-catering cabins that you can book with the venue for 2 nights. Whether this be for the bridal party can get ready on site, groomsmen or just some close family and friends. You can then relax the night before at our communal BBQ area overlooking the sea!

Our historic barn can be transformed to match your desired style, while the outdoor area is perfect for photographs and open-air receptions.
