Autumn in Scotland is achingly beautiful. The already breathtaking landscape turns into an outstandingly beautiful kaleidoscope of colours, sunsets are bursting with colour, beach walks are invigorating with our cosy pubs, restaurants and eateries, that little bit more inviting.
After the busy summer, the crowds disperse with the cooler temperatures making for perfect outdoor adventures. Crunch leaves beneath your feet and drink in the fresh, crisp air before rewarding well-trod bodies in our bubbling hot tubs underneath star-filled skies or snuggling up in front of crackling log fires.
Sound tempting? Then treat yourself to an autumn break with us thanks to your exclusive 10% discount for NHS staff, which is also applicable on any promotions we have running.
With 6 award-winning holiday parks to choose from, each within 1-2 hours’ drive of Edinburgh and Glasgow, there is nowhere better for an autumnal break. With so much choice, it’s hard to know where to start, so allow us to introduce ourselves!
We will start with our flagship park, Loch Tay Highland Lodges, Perthshire in the Scottish highlands. It is the ideal option if you’re holidaying with the kids in tow, nestled on the shore of the majestic Loch Tay. Experience some autumn family action with our onsite activity partners, In Your Element, before whiling away evenings in The Boathouse restaurant which even offers a pet-menu for dogs!
Fancy some time at the coast? Then head to our beachside park Sauchope Links, Fife where you can wake up to fresh sea air, savouring your morning coffee as the waves lap your feet. Little ones can explore magical rockpools as you embrace the refreshing water with a wild dip or two before beachcombing for treasures, left strung across the tide line. Sample fresh-off-the-boat seafood before snuggling up together under star-filled skies. And, if you’re really lucky, you’ll be treated to a show from the phenomenal Northern Lights!
For a quieter break visit pretty Braidhaugh Holiday Park, Perthshire which is surrounded by the gorgeous Scottish countryside. Lace up those walking boots to experience the blazing autumnal landscapes or try your luck with some fishing back.
If it’s golf you prefer then we have you covered too! Our park, Letham Feus Holiday Park, Fife is ideally situated within easy driving distance of 40 world-class courses. In addition, the cooler autumn months make for optimum playing conditions whilst the incredible scenery will leave you longing to return.
Keen on some outdoor adventures with all of the family? Choose Campsie Glen, Stirlingshire, lying on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs’s National Park. The autumn months here are hard to beat as wildlife dart about stocking up for winter whilst the trees burst from greens into fiery oranges, reds and copper. Stroll along the shores of the Loch keeping eyes out for beavers or hike up impressive mountains. We also highly recommend a boat trip or two to discover the numerous isles and islets which dot this vast body of water.
Last but not least is our peaceful park, Cruachan Farm, Perthshire, which is perfect for those in need of some calm. Surrounded by nature, Cruachan boasts fabulous views across the renowned Scottish Highlands and pretty Perthshire countryside. Listen to the sound of birdsong and switch off from busy lives, discovering the untamed Scottish wildnerness. Guest at Cruachan are also able to take advantage of the facilities at nearby Loch Tay Highland Lodges which is just up the road.
No matter which park you choose, our fantastic range of luxury self-catering accommodation means we have something for everyone – including those holidaying with their pets. From touring to camping and glamping to stays in traditional lodges, cabins and static caravans, our carefully considered ways to stay have it all, with the optional of hot tubs and log burners too, both blissful accompaniments as the nights draw in and temperatures drop.
And if you have a larger-than-life family, or fancy spending some time with friends too then fear not! Our incredible Exclusive Houses here are ideal for group gatherings with stylish furnishings, sumptuous beds, state of the art appliances, log burners, decking, private gardens and hot tubs!
However, you prefer to holiday, an autumn break with Largo Leisure means evenings spent around crackling fires, chances to roast marshmallows, play boardgames together or bubble away in hot tubs under star-filled skies. Autumn in Scotland provides the chance to catch your breath, with fewer visitors, everywhere is that little bit quieter with time spent exploring, often seemingly private.
So treat yourselves to a cosy autumn break before the festive season begins. Whether it’s for a fun-filled October half term or a relaxing weekend escape, autumn breaks in Scotland really don’t get much better and we can’t wait to welcome you.
